Get set up in a few minutes

From install to your first customer-facing timeline — here's the whole flow.

  1. 1

    Install and connect your store

One click from the app listing. Craftline only requests read access to orders, products, and fulfillments — nothing on your storefront, checkout, or theme is touched.

  2. 2

    Create your first stage template

In Templates, create a template, name it, and bind it to a product tag — for example, a "Knives" template triggered by the tag "knives". Every order containing a tagged product gets automatically routed into that template.

  3. 3

    Add stages

Add each production stage in order — casting, sharpening, fitting the handle, shipping, delivered. Pick a craft icon for each, and set which ones notify the customer by email, which are silent (only visible if the customer checks their status page), and which auto-advance after a number of days.

  4. 4

    Mark your "Shipped" stage

Flag exactly one stage per template as the shipping stage. Craftline advances an order to it automatically the moment Shopify's native fulfillment webhook fires — no manual step.

  5. 5

    Match your store's branding

In Settings, set the widget's accent color and logo so the customer-facing timeline on the Thank You and Order Status pages looks like part of your store, not a bolted-on tracker.

  6. 6

    Place a test order

Order a tagged product yourself and watch the Thank You page and Order Status page pick up the right template. Advance the order manually from the Orders tab to see the timeline update live.
